Dandelion Returns!

This National Crayon Day the beloved Crayola color Dandelion is officially coming out of retirement and rejoining the Crayola colors, working full-time to help inspire colorful creative moments.

Dandelion has been in retirement for almost a decade ago, but the color’s fandom never stopped wishing for its return—and Crayola listened. Described by teachers as the “only true yellow”, the spark of sunshine has returned to the top back-to-school list item—the 24 ct crayon box—as well as the iconic 64ct crayon box.

To welcome back the warm, bright yellow, Dandelion’s colleagues Bluetiful and Indigo have stepped aside in the 24ct and 64ct crayon boxes, respectively. Don’t worry, Bluetiful and Indigo can still be found in other Crayola crayon boxes and products.

Sometimes wishing on a dandelion really does work.
