Yes, Crayola® Model Magic® pieces can be sealed once they are completely dry. The drying time for Model Magic generally takes 24 hours to dry to the touch and 72 hours (about 3 days) to dry completely.
How to seal dried Model Magic sculptures:
- Apply a thin layer of acrylic varnish to a test sample to check for compatibility before using it on the finished piece.
- If the varnish is compatible, apply an even coat over the entire sculpture.
- Allow the varnish to dry completely before handling your masterpiece.
Important Note: Sealing your work will not make it waterproof. Exposure to water and outdoor elements will negatively affect Model Magic, so it is best to display your sculpture indoors.
