Diwali Peacock Diya
Celebrate Diwali with a Model Magic peacock diya craft for kids. Make your own colorful diya with a battery-operated tea light!
Supplies:
- Crayola Model Magic
- Crayola Glitter Glue
- Battery-Operated Tea Light
- Crayola Markers
- Clay and Dough Tools
- Tools: Model Magic, Markers, Glitter Glue
- Theme: Holidays, Fall
- Age: 6+, 8+, Tween+, Adult
Steps:
1 Roll medium-sized ball of Model Magic.
2 Press thumb into center of ball to create opening.
3 Rotate ball while pressing outward to widen opening, creating bowl shape large enough for battery-operated tea light.
4 Shape peacock neck and head with Model Magic. Press against side of bowl to connect.
5 Use clay and dough tools to shape Model Magic crown, feathers, beak, and rim for top of bowl.
6 Press crown, feathers, beak, and rim against peacock head and body to connect. Let all Model Magic dry overnight.
7 Add details to peacock with markers and glitter glue. Dry 3–4 hours.
8 Insert battery-operated tea light into bowl.
9 Use as a Diwali decoration and celebrate!
