Easter Watercolor Salt Paintings
Make eggs-traordinary paintings! Learn how to do salt painting with a colorful Easter egg theme.
Supplies:
- Crayola Acrylic Paint
- Pencil
- Crayola Watercolors
- Cardboard
- Salt
- Disposable Cup
- Crayola Paint Brush
- Crayola No-Run School Glue
- Crayola Color Glue
- Aluminum Tray
- Small Bowl
- Water
Steps:
1 Cover piece of cardboard with white paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.
2 Draw Easter egg with designs using pencil.
3 Trace pencil sketch with school glue.
4 While glue is wet, place cardboard in aluminum pan and sprinkle with salt.
5 Lightly shake excess salt back into pan. Set aside.
6 Lightly dab watercolors onto salt and glue, letting paint spread. Dry 1–2 hours.
7 Repeat steps 1–6 replacing school glue with color glue for egg-citing color blending effects!
