- Hole Punch
- Bird Seed
- Crayola Acrylic Paint
- Crayola Take Note Permanent Markers
- Scissors
- Twine

1 On upcycled carton side, draw outline for an opening with gel pens.

2 Have an adult help cut out the opening.

3 Rotate carton once and draw outline for a wing-shaped flap. Cut along outline, leaving top of wing intact.

4 Rotate carton once and repeat steps 1–2.

5 Repeat step 3 to complete final side of carton.

6 Paint beak, wings, and bird body. Dry 1–2 hours and add second coat.

7 Paint eyes above beak. Dry 1–2 hours.

8 Draw pupils and details with markers.

9 Hole punch top of carton. Feed twine through hole and tie ends into a knot.

10 Pour bird seed into openings.
